Twitter Tools

June 27th, 2009 Posted in Cool Tips

Ok, so now you have your Twitter account and you are starting to get alot of followers, right? By now you have noticed that many Tweeters (Twitter members) pride themselves on the number of followers they have.

In this post I will discuss the dynamics of following and being followed on Twitter.
As with Most social media sites, Twitter has also become a place for businesses of all kinds to get their products known to the masses. (caution: if you use it for business promotion be sure you use acceptable practices and do not spam your followers!!)
One of the best ways to get followers…is to follow those you want to follow you! If you go to www.search.twitter.com you can search Twitter for people that are tweeting about things you are interested. Once you “follow” them usually they will follow you back! (Note: it is etiquette to follow someone who is following you unless you find their content objectionable.)

As your twitter acount grows, it almost goes on autopilot as far as people wanting to follow you, based on your content (so be interesting, informative, and honest!). Once you start growing it becomes a daunting task to log in and manage your new followers by thanking them for following you, following them and other administrative tasks.

One great program that has a free version will really save you time in managing many aspects of your Twitter activities is called Tweet Later. You can sign up by clicking the link below…Have fun!
